I have found that having a strut tower brace helps firm up the tower metal.

I am trying (well, actually Jason at Tischer is trying) to get a set of the 850/7er 18in style 5s - So, if I can get those (the rears are not showing avail in the US or Germany)...I will have up to 5 17x8 style fives and 2 17x9 for sale all polished and refinished (the two 17x9s will be brand new OEM)

The vendor finally rectified the issue and sent me a set of the then relatively new LED halo sets.

I now have a new problem (I have not taken the time to see if there is a loose connection in the ring itself) but one of the halos now only light up about 1/3 of the way around and another halo has four led's out on the bottom.

So, if I cant find the problem and solve it, I will give up on the angel eyes for good. Something so cheap and crappy just isnt worth any look (good or bad).
I'm not suprised to hear that the angel eye parts that Matt sent you were junk.

There seems to be some big differences in the quality of some of the newer LED kits.

EAS Auroras and Orion V2s have a lifetime warranty and the MyCarr LEDs are limited to 1 year.
A few people have posted problems with the MyCarr LEDs failing the way you have discribed.
They cost less and I guess you get what you pay for, just like you do with wheels.

There are differences between Auroras and Orion V2s, other than the price.
Just my opinions, but I purchased the Auroras for the following reasons...

- For some reason Orion V2s are a smaller diameter than the Auroras which does not, in my opinion, visually fit my standard halogen headlights as well.

- The 60 LEDs on Orions appear to be spaced slightly farther apart than Auroras so that they will extend slightly farther around the ring.

- Orions also have a different lens design which helps them appear brighter, but it also diffuses the light from the individual LEDs less making the gaps between the LEDs more apparent.

- I didn't care about overall brightness because I planned to dim them with a rheostat anyway, and I did prefer the Auroras being whiter and less blue than the Orion V2s.

Overall I think the Auroras have a thinner, more refined look, which I prefer.

I haven't had any issues what so ever with the product or the installation over the past year.
They just look great and work well.

Here is a link to another thread showing how I tinted and dimmed my Auroras...

I tried to tint the rings with silver spray paint, the way that the amber turn signal bulbs are done, but the paint didn't work well or cover evenly. I ended up just cleaning it off and using the vinyl with much better results.

yea, the new aluminum plates from vorshlag shipped today for the sedan - so both cars will have 100% adjustability front and rear (well, no caster rear)
