The black is a lot of black - i had the material sitting around and it looks better than the wood. I think the blue or red would be too much for the wagon - although I have always loved the black and blue interiors in Audi's etc.

thanks all for the comments - hopefully going to drop it and change some brake components this weekend

I like the Faux interior. Nice work and quick to boot! Fix that one little area / pucker by the glove box and it'll be 100% quality.

How hard was it to remove the trim around the shifter boot? I need to install my new center console today and I need to pop that off to get to the two screws beneath that trim plate. I did a search and all people say is "...remove the shifter boot..." - I have an automatic, so how do I remove that boot? I don't want to mess anything up.

Looking good!

I'm not trying to be a jerk - It just looked like there was an odd 'pucker' or place where the edge wasn't glued down well. Right where the center console piece and the piece above the glove box meet. The vertical seam - from that top corner down to about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from the top of the seam. It looks like the edge didn't get wrapped under all the way. That corner looks like it'd be a pain to get anyway. It's most likely an optical illusion. My bad.

Ted

I took a few more pics of that area and you will see there isnt any pucker (unless I am just not seeing it) and I trimmed the little tag (that couldnt be seen without bending over and looking with a light - even outside in the sun)

I went ahead and did a sport steering wheel lower piece that was scratched and the ///M badge was broken - so this will eliminate any sign of the ///M badge on this car

I bought the material at JoAnn's Fabric (national chain) for about $12 a square yard - not a bad price I think ...

T- I dont mind constructive criticism...especially if it means the car looks better or works better++++

lowering caps didnt come in and the brake sensors didnt come in - so no reason to do suspension or brakes - and two days with no plans ...great, maybe I should go out and work on the walkway before it gets too cold
