thx for the feedback. now through a lot of dithering about, supported by the fact that manual decent-mileage 330i tourings are extremely hard to come by these days, i'm now gonna go & look at a pre-facelift 330ci convertible tomorrow morning. if it all goes ok i shall be proud owner of a motorbike for girls
obviously they're never perfect when you buy them so on the shopping list are mk4 sat nav & wide screen head unit, intravee II & alpine KCA-420i and a pair of OEM xenon headlights. it'll be a long way before i can pay some intention to all the gubbins under the bonnet but - lo & behold - i just found a source for a full-cat RHD supersprint header setup. i suppose i'll stick with the more visible part of the car first and better get saving up for the rest.

anyways: how's your blue lightning wonder coming on?

i havent been able to witout the trans installed - cant start car

trans in, exhaust re-installed, AF/R gauge and its lambda sensor installed, top of engine and all the trim done

installed new clutch master cyl (need to bleed the lines)

So, I figured out what the problem for cyl five was - the positive lead in the connector for the fuel injector had pushed out and was sitting in that plastic case that holds the injectors wire harness.

SO, the wagon may be pretty much done

def still needs alignment and once I am certain there arent any leaks coming from anywhere then I can reinstall the plastic front under tray

Ok. Just drove wagon. Works great. It is so much faster than sedan ever was ESS actually had dyno and long term testing data On the ms43 software vs the ms45 on the sedan that had never been done

New clutch is great. No missing. No leaks.

I think all three cars are running right.

Now time to start modding the e30
