You have to be - the magazine is worth the money alone, if you are a member for a year prior to purchasing a BMW new or used from the dealer, they give you $500 bucks and to top it all off, you just show the dealer you card and the rip of price becomes much more reasonable on parts etc.!

Yes, and everyone on this forum should be..........................
What you can learn simply by reading the Roundel magazine every month is well worth the $50ish membership fee. It is a great magazine!!!!!!! In addition, not only is there the discount that can be applied to new or CPO purchases, but many local shops will give you a 10-15% discount on parts, and that includes some dealers too. Your participation in your local chapter is up to you, and your chapter's focus and make up may not be exactly what your gig is, but you can also learn alot about reputable shops, cars for sale, etc. etc. Not to mention autoX events that you can take in - ususally a little more low key that SCCA solo events, car shows, drives and other events with great speakers. bmwcca.org - sign up today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Roundel magazine alone is worth it. Not to mention the discount off parts at the dealer helps on big ticket items (i.e. Window regulatorsssss).

I suppose I don't see how you could drive a bimmer and not be a part of the collective... Discounts on parts, a exceptional magazine and excellent local chapters to support everything from DIY's to Autocross and Track time. Just my two and a half cents worth. Happy Motoring...

A few weeks ago I purchased a radiator fan at the local dealership, I couldn't wait to purchase online, the fan was $417 w/tax. After the discount it was $387, this transaction alone nearly paid for the entire year of membership.
The card is like vaseline, if there going to screw you it doesn't hurt as much.

Ditto what EIAlfonso said!
The club autocrosses, occasional driving schools and discounts at the dealer make the membership worthwhile. |

Make sure you keep you BMWCCA card in your wallet as you have to insist on the parts discount. They try to accidently miss that too often for it to be a mistake.

yes, it also saves you bucks if you buy a new or CPO car!
I got a check for $500. when we bought our CPO 530i for Mrs. [you need to have 1 year membership under your belt and be in good standing to get the rebates (no lapses in your membership)]
