Need oil for 2002 M3

Does anybody know where I can order a case of 10W60 API SJ/CF Synthetic Motor oil for My 2002 M3. Thanks,

Sorry to say bro, but I've only seen 10/60 at the dealer, or at performance shops that cater to BMW/Merc/Porsche. I've went to the local AutoZones, PepBoys, etc, and haven't found any. Good thing my salesman is cool, and gave me a couple bottles for free.

These guys can probably tell you.

That's a bummer! I just assumed that Checker, PepBoys or AutoZone would carry it. Has ANYBODY found it there?

try rallye dealership in roslyn long island new york.
get off on the long island expressway on exit 36 or 37.
address is 1600 northern blvd. if you like call first they can order it. if they don't have it. and send it to your house i think .
the garage number is 1516 625 1000 then ask for parts.
i just bought 6 bottles at 11.40 a quart or litter i forget off hand.
but call first so you don't have to make a trip for nothing.

The BMW dealer is the only one that sells it. The oil is made by Castrol. I email Castrol and they confirmed that currently only the dealer sells the oil because besides racing cars only a few production cars in the market use that type of oil. I also email Mobil 1 and Valvoline and they replied saying that they do not offer that type of grade.

My 3 local BMW dealer sell the litre for $10.00. There are few dealer selling the oil at $8.50 but with shipping and handling it comes out to more than $10.00.

I just want to point out that Castrol TWS Motorsport 10W-60 is the only approved motor oil for the M3 so stick to BMWs recommendation!

That is not so. Here is the email I got from BMW replying to my question about which oil is approved for the M3:

I am with BMW of North America, LLC and your Owners' Circle inquiry has been forwarded to me for a response. BMW's approved oils used to top off are: Castrol Synthetic, Mobil 1 Synthetic, and Valvoline High Performance Synthetic with a weight of SAE 10W-60.

The only approved oil IS Castrol TWS Motorsport 10W-60. Oil quality is so much more then just the oil weight. See also the oil label in the engine compartment.

Below is a print-out from the TIS. I wouldn't trust those customer relations people too much...!

OK, OK, OK, RSC & srcstc,
You win!!! I WILL NOT blow up my engine or void my warranty by putting those inferior, cheap ass Valvoline or Mobile 1 synthetics in my M baby.
Actually it's a moot point because I can't find anyone who sells the stuff anyway. Looks like it's nothing but the OFFICIAL stuff for me. Long live my (2nd) engine!!!
