p46

HI EVERYONE!

i've been away from the forum for a couple years after i went off to school and left my car behind. now im back and eager to return to modding!

i want angel eyes and have stock halogens. IS THERE ANY OTHER CHOICE FOR MY NEXT MOD THAN P46s? this way i will get the xenon upgrade and the angel eyes in one neat package. a must have?

the only setback for me with the P46s is that it cost $700 for me to put in an HID kit. so i just bought the AE and xenix true blue bulbs. looks okay... for now

well you can get the P46 halogens. which only come with the projectors housings (the ball) with angel eyes. that use the standard H7 bulbs.

but if you want an HID kit (xenons) it costs like $150-$250 more.

someone correct me if im wrong. im pretty sure im not.

Yes. The original xenons are the same as hids but not the xenon look which are just halogens with tinted glass. Dunno about the upgrade tho.

ok. basically im just trying to make sure that if i buy the p46 kit, i'm getting actual xenons like i would have gotten from the factory in 2001 when i purchased the car, and not just a halogen bulb that looks purple.

Except that our price is $550 right now and is the only original kit

here you go:

Additionally and most importantly, we are the direct assembler of these lights.

I have stock halogen housing so I installed an HID kit as well as predator chroniums. I'm sorry but the car is too sexy. People dont advise putting HID on stock halogen housing but hey, It is what it is

While not optimal, it's far better than driving with halogens. We don't recommend it, but if it's the way to go, it's better than halogens. Just aim them a little lower so you don't blind folks.

k that tutorial didn't really answer my question..in fact it seemed written specifically to convince me to buy the HID projectors as a certain upgrade from my stock halogens..so why is it not recommended?? wouldn't i be replacing the entire headlight assembly anyway?

also what is this supposed to mean: The projectors compare favorably [to stock] because they are made in germany. The projectors, nt the headlights. ??
