My Ride: has a tailgate
For the hatch glass, you could have a bad button. That would fit the symptom of the glass still popping with the key. At least here in States, new buttons aren't too expensive - I had to replace mine. To check it you could remove the plastic cover inside of the glass, and disconnect the button's harness connector. Use a multimeter see if you get continuity when the button is pressed. The button itself could be bad, or the wires could have worn through where they pass through the cutout in the glass.

For the wiper problem, check out this earlier thread:

Did you have any luck tracing the cause of your problem?
