330ci repaint widebody build.

I'm finally getting a chance to put a build thread together for this car. To make a long story short I've had the car since 01'. Did a few subtle mods at the beginning: wheels, suspension, short shift, sway bars, intake/exhaust etc... then I didn't do much to it for quite a few years. Finally decided to clean it up a bit and paint it from Jet Black to Imola Red. The car needed a different look so I went with the full Hamann add-on kit as well as refinished and painted the wheels.

Back in the day...

After repainting it

About a month or two later it was in an accident causing it to become a total loss. I bought it back and this is what I decided to do....enjoy.

Since it was going to be wide in the rear, figured I would widen the front as well, so I went with M3 hood and fenders while still keeping my original 330ci front bumper.

Wanted to go aggressive in front but not have the M3 side grill showing since its only a 330 ....so the side grills were welded shut.

I did not go with the Hamann side skirts due to the fact they are fiberglass and I know for a fact they will be ruined the first day I drive off. So I decided to go with factory M3 side skirts. The side skirt had to be pulled as well to match the rear flare that was added to the quarter panel.

Ok, now time for the rear section of this build. I'll start with the wheels. These are the same wheels I've had since I first got the car. 19" iForged Seneka.
I wanted to do a tuck stlyed stance and still pull off a 5" rear lip comortably. So I ordered 5" lips for the rear, stripped and repainted the faces and barrels. I also cleaned up all of the hardware before re-assembling the wheel.
Since my original iForged center caps were basically worn I decided to refinish those as well....I made my own custom brushed "2M" center caps.
WAS: 19x8.5" 19x9.5"
NOW: 19x9.5" 19x11.5"

Rear widebody is on my to-do list.

Please share more details on how it was done. Mainly where they got the flares from?

I am usually not a fan of these types of mods, but you pulled it off well. Very nice work.

front bumper looks fine. but its the rear that looks a bit conservative for the widened fenders. just take a look at the photos without the rear bumper. it looked so... hnnnnnng!
i would have gone for the M3 rear. but thats me. lol.

nice job on the rebuild OP! must have been $$$
kudos to the Body and Paint shop too.
