I am on the E30M3 SIG and have been since day one. I keep an eye on prices and have stayed involved with the community.

A lot of the old guard die hard have now started calling them the E30M3 "the dead guy car" because most will never sell them until they croak so its kind of become the unofficial slogan of the group LOL....

Prices have gone NUTS in the last 3-6 months. If you want an E30M3 BUY ONE NOW... In the next 1-3 years you won't be able to touch one for under 30-50k... Getting hard to find nice clean ones now for under 30, less than a year ago a nice clean one pulled 20-25k...

They are fun to drive, not fast but ultimately toss able. And a piece of BMW motorsports history from the beginning..

I love them. I will never sell my track/race car, one of my boys will get it when I am gone. I just hope ONE of them is a car guy!

Recently! When I bought my E24 M6 a few years back it was cheaper than any of the E30 M3s in the area! But better looking too

it is more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow...

although - amazingly (maybe because I have more trust - or - not as worried about wrecking it ...vs. the wagon) the x5m is very fast in the turns

I have a road that I use to determine how well a car handles - kind of a slalom speed thing

the 325iX - average speed was about 60 but it felt like it could go faster
the wagon - about 75 but I am always worried about putting it in a tree
our TL - about 60 and it is pushing and not secure feeling
the x5m - 85-90 and I chicken out from going faster

its a really nice car, I cant lie, I wouldnt mind one, but it is amazing how differently it drives. Mine is modded and they feel very different, the e46 is more direct and more driver oriented/driver feel, steering is heavier in mine and clutch is heavier I know a lot of my mods have a good deal to do with the difference in feel and I still love mine. They got a good deal on a rare car, 6 speed / RWD / pretty loaded with the exception of the sport pack.

I love this thread!!! I'm finally making some exterior mods to my 04 325xiT so I figured it was time to post a couple pics. I tinted the rears (35%) a while back and just got some 18"x8.5" csl reps with Conti pro Contact tires. Mtech II bumper coming very soon...trying to decide whether or not to paint the grills body color when I spray the bumper...thoughts? I know it needs to be lowered a bit, but that will have to wait until the suspension actually needs to be replaced. I can't go too low since I'm in New England nor do I want to. This is my DD and I want to keep it clean looking, but with a little attitude.Click image for larger version

Thanks Stu...means alot coming from you. I've spent far too much time following all of your work. What do think paint the grills body color or leave chrome?

I prefer black - but you still have the alum trim around the windows

you can wrap the trim black (buying is $$$$ and painting is $$)

You can still pull off black (gloss) grills and have the trim around windows silver

I had black grills and silver trim for a little while

Those pics are what inspired me to get my wheels and go after the look I have now. I'll probably paint the grills black when I do the bumper and then wrap the trim...thanks
