Funny, but I was about to ask the same question. Nice look there. I'd like to do something like this to mine. Was looking at the earlier pics of 1BadWag's car (post 709). Using the front flares in back seems like a pretty nice solution for a mild look.

Wonder who else has done something similar?

Yeah it is nice...the missing link between the E34 and the E61 M5 Tourings. I'm just waiting for them to reveal that they made an E46 M3 Touring....

Yeah, woulda been nice, no doubt. But the M3 Touring was left for the experimenters to create. Rogue Engineering started the ball rolling. Their success encouraged a number of enthusiasts to follow, myself included.

The car is everything you would expect, and then some. The ultimate sleeper.

Very true...Im soo jealous!! At least I can live vicariously through you....

And I really doubt BMW ever made an M3 Touring. There was no history of an E30 or E36 M3 Touring, and they didn't even make an E46 M3 Sedan, so a wagon wasn't on the radar.

Yeah, the M5 sedan/touring shares so many body parts with the regular 5er it made sense. The M3 is so much different than the non-m that it would be a bigger task.

Another Article talking about the utility and usefulness of wagons....

This time though, a 580hp RS6 Avant was busted for doing 133 outside of Seville, Spain. The wagon was carrying 2,000 lbs of hash!

From AutoBlog:

"If you read publications about cars long enough, you'll no doubt catch on to our pro-wagon bias. In fact, if us auto-journo types ran things, SUVs, CUVs and sedans would be banned, and all passenger cars would either be mid-engined, 500 horsepower coupes or 600 hp wagons. With manuals and roll up windows. No, really. This is the type of thinking required to join our vaunted profession. However, one of the many reasons we want mega-burly wagons isn't to haul one ton of dope around.

Seems that a twin-turbo, Lambo-V10 engined Audi RS6 Avant (good for at least 580 hp) was busted outside of Seville, Spain for not only going 133 mph, but for carrying 2,000 pounds of pot. Twenty-seven bundles of hashish to be specific. Value? 120,000, or about $180,000 USD. That's a lot of grass, man. And probably about one thousand pounds more than a RS6 sedan could have carried. Er... umm... we mean.... "Bad RS6 Avant, bad!"

Wheels and styling dilemma...

Okay guys, I am about to undertake a winter restyling project, and I'd like you advice:

1) Front Lip

-I've got a TiAg painted MtechII sitting in my basement, ready to be installed. I love the look of them, I just think they are very common and was debating selling it for an Mtech1.

2) Wheels

-I'm going to keep my style 44s with my Eagle F1's A/S for winter tires. I am looking for some summer/spring/fall wheels with sportier rubber.
-My wheel options (all will be powdercoated anthracite or gunmetal)

A) Style 135s- look great, but very heavy (don't worry, I wouldnt get reps, this is just a pic of gunmetal 135)

B) Style 68s- look good with Touring, but only 17s

C) Style 260s- would get reps, already come in gunmetal (Just like Optimus!- Imitation is the highest form of flattery)

D) Audi B7 RS4 Titanium package 18 inch wheels (have never seen any tourings with these) \

Sell it for the ///M1 front, ///M2 has to much round shapes and doesn't really "flow" well with the straight lines of the PFL front

Thanks for the compliment I know everything about immitating ...right JWM5 ??

next best option after the 260's would be imho the 135's than the 68's wich look great in gunmetal btw

I think you are right about Mtech1 !!

Does anyone have a picture of a pre-facelift with Mtech1? Thanks!
