I think you can cut the standard piece and make it work, but I replaced mine with the MTech II part. I can't remember either... it's been 5 years since I did it.

The standard bumper center air duct piece is part #51 71 8 202 831 which was used on 99-05 tourings w/o M-tech II. The M-tech II used the part TiAg is questioning. Which is shared with the sedan. I sell alot of the M-tech II bumper kits and most customers just either mod the duct or replace it with this one.

It's funny... people who drive anything expensive often get labeled by folks who drive less expensive cars. I have found, without exception, that douchebags cover all demographics and incomes. You can be an douchebag in either a Echo or an Escalade.

What did you not like?
Wagon like any other wagons. I didn't drop it down, because of snow and really don't want put any after market bs components such as critical as suspension.

Mine was fine, but I'm still worried. On the subframe thread, I saw a few early model tourings. But there were far less tourings than sedans or coupes (but that figures, since they made less...)

Thumbs Up Great Sale on Mtech 1st Gen Side Skirts...

www.getbmwparts.com has the set for $85!. Yes that is $85 for the kit which includes hardware! When I was looking for these back in the day, they were $400. And yes these are BMW OEM parts. I think this might be the deal of the decade for me.

IMHO, these are more noticeable over the stock skirts than the 2nd gen Mtech2 skirts and I just like the look better.

Its sad but I can't really tell a huge difference between Stock, Mtech1, and Mtech2 side skirts
