It's funny... people who drive anything expensive often get labeled by folks who drive less expensive cars. I have found, without exception, that douchebags cover all demographics and incomes. You can be an douchebag in either a Echo or an Escalade.

@kep2002. Hey bud, your wagon looks sick, good job, I just switched from black sedan to silver wagon and have just started modding. Have done headlights and indicators and black grill. Just got the black shadowline vinyl this week so. So much more to do.

Was wondering how painting your side door trim went. Did you DIY or pay to get it done and has there been any issues with it since? Paint flaking or chipping off?

I want to colour code my whole car so it's mainly silver with a bit of black highlights but am a little worried as last time I got stuff painted ( on my old e36) the paint started coming off pretty quickly.

Anyways your car looks rad and don't worry, I'm not copying ya, I live in Australia anyways so we won't cross paths. Ha ha

for my trim I got Avery silver vinyl and wrapped the trim, overall it has held up great, a few areas that could stand touch up, but when you buy a roll of the wrap you will have plenty left if you need to re wrap pieces down the road. That would be my suggestion and you can always unwrap and go back to stock.

Yeah cool, thought about wrapping but how do you do the front number plate mount as it's a lot wider than the vinyl tape I'm guessing. You just use 3M tape or something special?

I bought a roll of Avery Vinyl it was like 15" by 10 feet long so no worries about it being too narrow for the trim it was more than enough, probable enough to do two cars, or more if you dont mess up at all, i re did a few pieces but still had plenty of extra.

From what I've told BMW is all done with marketing tourings for the North American market. The e91 will be the last. I just read that Audi will not be bringing over the next gen A6 Avant either. What the hell?

Edit!!!! Just read this article.

I hope they do rethink it, the GT is such a random design/experiment its hard to believe they thought we would just accept it in place of the wagons. I dont hate the GT but to me it would make a lot more sense without the X6 in the same lineup, both cars to me are so similar its surprising that they were both developed.

What about the 3 series GT? The GT just doesn't do it for me.

I think a wagon has a lot more utility than a hatchback, since the roof line is higher. BMW does not seem to be able to sell the volume of wagons that Mercedes and Volvo does. I don't blame them for trying something new, but I wish they could find a successful formula so that we could get more BMW wagons with more power like Europe has.

for me i drive long distance and always carry stuff that i cant fit into a coupe or sedan, so wagons are perfect for me
wagons + bmw's performance is the perfect solution for my needs

Mercedes is actually down to one wagon here in the states which is the E-class. The current C-class wagon never made it here. As for Volvo there is just the V50 and XC70 left. I'm not sure if the V60 will make here to the states.

Acura just introduced the 2011 TSX wagon here and which I've seen many on the road around here. To bad it only available with FWD and a 4cyl.

If BMW would bring a 320d wagon here to the states I would not defect to Audi.

My Ride: has a tailgate
My wife and I took a trip in the wagon to Pennsylvania last weekend - along with the dog, an elliptical trainer, two dog crates, a vacuum cleaner, and bunch of luggage. Love the split rear seats and the cargo tie-downs.

Saved me a bunch of gas money over driving the truck, that's for sure.

These are amazing. While working in Germany during the summer of 2006 I had a rental, this vehicle in a Turbo Diesel. This experience created my obsession with wagons which finally lead to my purchase of a 2001 325it. Always been a BMW fan so I leaned in favor of the Bimmer!!

Nice car, but it is in a stratosphere of cost that I do not want to get into.

True. Maybe this will get BMW on the uber fast touring boat here in the US.
