Hope this already hasn't been posted here (I've been way out of the loop...literally living in the woods)- but the world has a new "Fastest Wagon"- the G-Power Hurricane RS Touring




Its an E61 M5 with twin superchargers....750hp and 224 MPH!! Ill.

outside looks like Sepang Bronze (sp?) inside is a little over the top for me, too much of one color.

Yep with you on that one. The power is undeniable though. Twin supercharged is cool too...CCX style. and 224 MPH is incredible.

Also should bring some attention to this project for its insanity...

Just a quick post on my ongoing Touring evolution this spring:
- CF grills
- Homelink
- ST40 BBK's 332mm, dual piece rotor in front
- VMR V710's in Gunmetal, staggered 18 x 8.5" f, 18 x 9.5" r





Can't wait for this year's road rally.

So chicken or the egg... is it that Americans don't buy Wagons? or that Dealers don't stock them? My opinion is dealers push SUV's and as a result of the American instant gratification mentality, people buy whats on the dealer lot and then dealers turn around and say we dont want wagons. Either ways its retarded. They develop new models from the ground up al la 5GT and push that rather than bring over current generation 5 series wagons. I cant believe that more 5GTs will be sold than 5 wagons would have sold. Plus with all this lowering emmisions/better gas mileage crap, BMW should be pushing wagon sales not developing new 4 door SUV Coupes /

I dont know, wagons used to be the norm in the states...but, the mini-van and 4dr suv killed the wagon. women wanted taller (safer...not) and men wanted more masculine

In Texas most people hate wagons. I don't know why. Usually foreigners are the ones who own them.

Here big SUVs and Trucks are the norm. 4 wheels drive is especially useful saids people who never actually use them lol.

same here in DC

in fact, I bought my wagon from a Porsche dealer in San Antonio that just wanted to drop it..the previous owner moved from CA and decided they must have a SUV

cool thing, the dealer wanted to get rid of it so much, I bought it CHEAP, paid to ship it here and still saved about $6k over buying one local to DC

BMW isn't doing so hot with the 5er GT. Hope they rethink not bringing the F11 here...

^ Hopefully thats true and hopefully with the next generation 3 we will get the bigger engine. If your going to restrict which engine we get why not at least give the wagon the more powerful engine.

I think I may have won at least one convert to the wagon side.

Friend of mine was up visiting last weekend, and he really liked tooling around in my Touring. He and his wife are looking at replacing one of their sedans, for road trips with their 3-yr old. He thinks he has a decent chance of convincing his wife that toddler + toddler's stuff will fit into a sport wagon, and there's no need for a dreaded SUV or minivan.
