i didnt have to remove the seats, the side bolster or any of the upper seat lock mech (even when installing an amp for a sub

if you remove the plastic pieces that run along the back window(s) then you can pull the side panels out enough (without removing 100%) to access the top of the struts

Thanks guys for the input and advise, I was thinking the rears were going to be a PITA. Lol!
I ask my BMW mechanic for a print out of the rear cargo area, and he said he couldn't find one. (interesting)

Yah, I'm big on sandwich bags and labeling the hardware when I take stuff apart.

It's not hard at all. Tedious but definately not hard.

2 weeks ago I did my H&R PCS coilovers. Apparantly I left some of my driver bits inside one of the panels and went back through it again last weekend. It goes very quickly when you become familiar with the procedure. Figure about 2-3 hours working inside going through the steps the first time. There isn't that much hardware back there. Off the top of my head there are approximately 4 plastic fasteners, 10 bolts, 6 screws, and 8 torx screws. No need to completely remove the second floor cover (one immediately behind the back seat), you can just flip it forward towards the front of the car.

I would recommend getting some Rogue RSMs, it is what I did and will not have to pull apart the interior again.

I have no idea how on earth you were able to get to the RSMs without removing everything 330iZHP without cutting the sound deadening. You either have precise hands or a shop monkey to accomplish that lol.

Now I have a suspension question. I am told that I can use lowering springs for a 330xi on my 325xi touring. Is this actually true?

It's funny... people who drive anything expensive often get labeled by folks who drive less expensive cars. I have found, without exception, that douchebags cover all demographics and incomes. You can be an douchebag in either a Echo or an Escalade.

I'm ashamed to ask an easy question, but I need an honest answer before I order on tirerack.

Looking to put 4 General Altimax Arctic- 205 50R17s on my Style 44s (17x8)

Is this do-able? Is this a good idea? I've been told skinnier tires are best for winter.

I don't see why it's not do-able, people run 205/40/17s on 17x8s all the time... Good idea? I don't know, but again, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be though.

yikes....that's interesting and nice low mileage, but priced waaay to high. With the main differences from a "traditional" touring being MtechII and SMG, no way that asking price is reasonable.

No sir, my ZHP is sitting outside in the shop (I'm at work). Not sold, not for sale, no broken, etc. I'm going to do my best to keep it forever...

But, still, I'd also like to have an e46 wagon. I'd do an e91 too...

Beautiful car, but it cracks me up when people think a car is worth more (and that they will be able to sell it for more) than it actually is. Who's going to have the cash to pay OVER the value for a car? No bank, in its right mind, would loan out OVER the value on a depreciating asset. And any person willing to pay the difference out of pocket needs their head checked. Same goes for the idiots paying 10k over sticker for 1m's, morons. The owner of that beautiful wagon would be better off de-modding it, selling the components for whatever he/she can get and sell the car stock...

My budget for a wagon isn't in place yet. My ZHP is paid for (in full) and I just bought a house 4 months ago. For reasons I'd rather not share, I just about started over with no possessions after a long term relationship. Needless to say, filling an empty house isn't cheap.

Keep up with the postings! I'll keep drooling! Maybe I can get one in two or three more years... Turn the ZHP back into a garage queen...

I restarted myself after I was wiped out in Hurricane Ike. It gets better.

I paid slightly above market for my touring (according to edmunds for my area) and had it freighted in from out of state. It happens when you have a list of options and a short supply. After 6 months of active searching and still not finding exactly what I wanted (missing manual transmission) coupled with the fact that the good clean cars with the M54 were selling rather quickly (at that point) and my DD V8 was sucking down 120-150 a week of premium I was ready to wire money as soon as the closest thing to perfection poped up. It happens.

If I was still on the hunt I would buy that car I posted in a heartbeat. Of course I am no fool and would negotiate on the asking price, because after all it is an asking price, not the sales price. Well maybe not as I eliminated cars from the snowbelt and am glad I did as my touring has almost no rust on any of the bolts underneath her.

Best of luck with restarting.

This is my idea of perfection; it even is in wagon form! I've found it almost impossible to come by a E46 with no sunroof, manual seats, manual transmission, auto climate control, no fold-down seats (unless wagon) and xenon lights. I'd love to get rid of the X5 I drive and pick this up.

Thank guys, I guess we'll agree to disagree about paying over for a car. It took me three weeks to find my ZHP, but I still paid WAY under their asking price...

Anyhow, back on topic, look what I came across...

I'd rock the hell out of that! C'mon BMW send us 335i wagons!
