iigigol0ii, i can tell you that my mechanic that i go to had never installed headers on an M3 and took him 6-7 hours which is a tad long but he got the job done either way.

Did anyone already put some serious miles in those ceramic coated ebay headers? Any problems with cracking welds? There is now about 3 ebay sellers with those headers that it seem all the same product. Is anyone running S/C with ebay headers?

Mine had a major leak were all the tubing meets up in between. Never got it fixed too hard to weld in that area while its still on the car. I dont know how much power i lost because of it, if it was a smaller leak i wouldnt have been so concerned but it was pretty loud.

I got mine from user ACEKOGYO. They are ceramic coated.

Here are pics. For what reason is one of the flanges not connected? Also, where are you guys getting 02 simulators, or what are you doing to correct 02 issues?

Overall I'm impressed, great deal for not a lot of money.

Mark-up is the biggest reason for the difference in price. Many people are completely oblivious to the goings-on behind the scenes in relation to price inflation to the end user. Eventually, someone comes along and instead of taking a 1000% profit margin, settles for a 300% profit margin for the exact same (in function and quality.... and some times root origin) product. It takes some time for the market to react to and accept such a shock. Your "we didn't cheap out when we bought our cars so i know Im not going to cheap out on the parts." statement is a large part of what perpetuates the gross pocket-lining of many of the distributors out there. We've started seeing the profit margin deflation with some certain to-be-unnamed lighting vendors.

All of these pieces have their manufacturer (contract or otherwise) origins in Asia, and are very cheap to produce in bulk, coming from only a handful of actual large manufacturers running many varying production lines, with products then sorted and branded through dozens of distribution channels.

they may *look* amazing for the price, however dont be surprised if they last a year and start cracking, and yes this is possible as the welds may LOOK great, but they may indeed be weak due to a rushed welding process or the wrong temperature etc (i am no pro when it comes to this sht but have heard numerous people switching back to oem after a short while do to cracking issues with these).

links, please.

I have JVT headers that I picked up for my S54, and after extensive research on the subject never came across the plethora of cracked header issues that you seem to have.

In fact, the cracked headers that I heard of were all SuperSprint pieces, iirc.
