Angel eye question....

I have a 2003 330ci pre-facelift.... i was looking at the umnitza angel eyes, thinking about getting them... Which is the best color to get, 8000k??? Should i get wireless or wired??? Is there a better brand? And how is the install for these babies....

Also looking at the LED Tails.... is there a better brand i should go with???

All comments and help would be appreciated, i would like to order in the next week...

-pete

i have an 02 330 coupe. Let me first say that i recommend the angel eyes. They are sick. I got standard 6000K and love the look. They match my xenons really well. 8000K will be pretty blue, which probably look really good too. I know some members have them.
I didnt go with the 50 dollar wireless option and i love the way they are set up. They are Always on if the car is on no matter if your lights are on or not.
Umnitza is the best brand forsure too.
The install took me a while, but it wasnt hard when following umnitza's directions online.
As for the LED's. Since u have a coupe, the best thing to do is get OEM ones. (although they are expensive) But if not, Eagle Eyes will suffice...

I recommend you go with the standard 6000k and do not get the wireless option. The wireless option had functionality issues and is not available at the moment. The other issue with the wireless is that it requires you manually turn the angel eyes on and off via the cigarette lighter rather than having them automatically come on and offer with the ignition.

For the LED tails, stick with Eagle Eyes. We exclusively carry the eagle eyes brand and have had a lot of success with these pieces. I have them on my own car and can vouch for the level of quality and ease of install.

Here are some shots for you. This is definitely something you can DIY, they come with full instructions and should take about 2 hours max to install.

i unfortunately do not have xenons and was wondering what the best alternative is to get the angel eyes.. can they be put on a non-xenon headlight? most pictures posted always have the xenon low beam. would it be better to get the projector46's with them already installed?

it all depends. i believe they fit reguardless of having xenons or not. But i love my xenons, and i think 99.9% of others do too. If you want to spend the money and get the proj46's, i doubt you will regret it. Itll look sick as hell.

Few Qs:

I saw a comparo of different angle eye colors (6000k / 8000k) paired with stock and upgraded HIDs but can't remember where on this site. Anyone know? Also, what is the stock color of e46 HIDs? Does color get whiter or more bluish going from 6000k to 8000k?

Here is the full color range from left to right 3000k, 8000k, 4300k, 6000k. Stock HIDs are 4300k but I recommend you go with the 6000k angel eyes for a pure white light output.

jassm490...responded in your other thread.

Thanks - great comparo pics. Also curious, how would it look if I upgraded to 6000k bulbs with 6000k AEs? I hear upgrading the bulbs voids the warranty but my warranty is up anyway. Is there any risk or is it just a change in color?
