What is it exactly you are looking for?
The projectors are identical. There are many factors that lead to different product colors:
1) HID bulbs are different colors or ages.
2) Install may be improper - bulb not seated properly
3) Different outer cover clarity.

The projectors are the same.

I am pointing out the fact that mine has the orange/red color at the cutoff and they P39's have the purple/blue color at the cutoff. My bulbs should me bore white than his since his are regular OEM style 55W haolgen and mine are Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. You see the differences in color?

1) They are halogen bulbs in both vehicles.
2) Could be right, but the bulbs are snug tight and can't move. Clipped in properly.
3) Maybe so, but that wouldn't change the color of the light. They are both brand new plastic.

Thanks for helping me out

Hey Nick or Umnitza, when I upgrade to the 50w 6000K HID kit will this eliminate the orange cutoff at the top?

yes it should. the only thing i can think of that's causing the red cutoff is the shield being a little bit bent toward the lense. if you bend it back the other way, it should get more blue.

I will search for a DIY on this.

don't think there is a diy for it. you have to open it up, take the lense and projector apart and bend the shield toward the projector. you'll have to pop the lense back on to check progress, too much and it will go red too. and make your cutoff even worst

My Ride: is dirty
Taking the P46's is the same procedure as the stockers except when it comes time to disassemble the projector unit (OEM requires security TORX while the P46 requires a phillips head screw driver)

I'm curious as to how the projectors are the same in the P39 and P46. Even when I modified my shield to allow more light to spread across, it doesn't even come close to the light spread produced by the P39 when I had my P46 years ago.

Thank you for shedding some light on how to disassemble the P46.

My next question (and the answer is most likely yes) is does doing this void the warranty? If so, I can deal with my current light output until that 1 year warranty is up.
