the ride was alrite
but litteraly any dip i hit it would rub
so all the bad freeways around me made it impossible to drive

i didnt even have them on for a week

That sucks. You should have rolled your fenders and that would have solved the problem, most likely.

ya im getting hamann anniversary alloys put on mine in 3 weeks, 19" but theyr'e very wide - 9,5 J front & 10j rear. Thing is theyre deep-dish so look nice wide. The garage had a set almost brand new from a z4 i think, but the owner left the set with them, so they were selling them half-price.Garage said they would fit & look good, but fenders would definitely need rolling.

For regular 19in if you got standard suspension it won't look good. I think in the original post you said you didnt have sport suspension. Even with sport suspension you can go slightly lower - Eibach pro street springs are v. popular. There's also eibach streetline springs but i think those are really slammed and will cause rubbing on regular roads.
