Xenon Headlight Question
I purchased a set of Xenon's off a forum member and was under the impression that it was for a 99-01 coupe model. However when i proceeded to install them the Xenon headlight assembly did not fit correctly at first as they were actually for an 02+ coupe model with the screw in corners. I was wondering if anyone else has retrofitted an 02 Xenon headlight into an 99-01 coupe. And if retrofitted would i just be able to purchase the screw in corners and have everything fit correctly?
Thanks |

im pretty sure you would need new front fenders. check out this for what you need to do, its very custom and expensive.
http://e46.mit.edu/ he fitted facelift coupe xenon headlight on a prefacelift sedan. the problem is that the gap for the turn signal (corner) isnt wide enough to accept the facelift corner/facelift headlamp assembly.

Wow that is one extensive project. Yeah i believe he had to get custom front fenders because he was putting on headlights from a coupe to a sedan. I'm going to try and get the screw in type corners on those headlights and see if they fit correctly. I'll take some pictures when i get the chance and post them on here. If anyone has done or know someone has done this as well please post here or PM me !

the facelift coupe headlight assembly and coupe turn signal still wont fit, even if it is a pre-facelift coupe, not a sedan. its just to wide.

02+ coupe headlight is the same as your car with the exception of the screw in corners. you can get screw in corners with one of our sponsors here.

So i can just purchase the screw in corners and they should fit perfectly? I searched around the forums and saw that many people retrofitted their Bi-Xenon assemblies ie. to my stock halogen headlights. I guess that would be my last choice as i dont have experience in doing it.

yea, make sure you contact jlevi or the sponsor before making the purchase to make sure you got the right ones.

i tried using a friends screw in corners from a 02 coupe and they did not fit correctly. I guess the only choice i have is to either retrofit them into my halogen housings or purchase P46s or something.

are you sure you have an 02+ coupe headlight then? take a picture. we'll be able to identify the headlight for you.
also, you might want to try using your halogen headlights outer lens and the headlight trim.
