It depends on the city you live in and how strict they are. I got a fix it ticket for no front plate, cost me $50 and had go to the police station to get it fixed. This was in Glendale, CA. There's a police website that said all the rules.

No europlates are allowed up front or rear. Plates must be on the front bumper. Having it in the dash does nothing for cops as it must be on the front bumper. Cops dont care if you say you just got the plate or bumper is curing after paint. I would also warn that putting the plate on the dashboard is dangerous, if you get in an accident, the plate can fly towards the passenger/driver seat and cause some serious injuries or even death... seen it happen.

San Diego is a lot easier on these no front plate laws, but if you go to LA area... prepare to get pulled over for everything

how big of a pain in the butt are the fog lights to put in? Stupid CSL reps i got over them since its taken so long. BBS ftw lol. Still need my cdv replaced with the zeckhausen racing one. And on a final note how good does the dinan exhaust sound?

Fogs are easy. You have that cross bumper trim piece, just unclip that and it exposes the screws for the fog housings. Go get the 35 watt 6000K bulbs from DDM up in Mira Mesa.

The Dinan exhaust sounds good, very civil. Expensive though and it's only an axle back.

any exhuats on a e46 is just for sound. they give you like 2 hp

Speaking of fogs I get some funky power sags when playing with the lights while driving. Inst cluster and radio dims and occasionally the needles all drop for a few sec while the HIDs are igniting. Kinda like when you have a big amp and the bass hits hard. Think a stiffening cap would help with that? Just a random idea.
