Unhappy Car Won't start it clicks and the lihgts and headlights flash

My car 1999 328I E46 after I parked for about 30 minutes tried to start it again and didn't. It gives clicking news and the lights flicker including the headlights flash.
I tried to see if there is any codes it gave me code P1622 and came back after deleting it.
also the key is working to unlock and lock fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

doesn't matter...a car uses a LOT of "juice" on start-up. Even if your headlights work, radio or your hazards, they require so little power to run them. Again, to actually START your car requires a good battery and a lot of juice...your alternator will take it from there.

I don't think it's the battery. If you hear the "click" noise, most likely a bad starter. The OPs also mentioned that he jump the car with no sucess of cranking over. Try hitting the starter as a remedy. Sometime that helps.

click noise + blinking interior lights that correspond with said clicks = dead battery

When the battery is dead, you will not hear a click noise. The clicking noise correspond to the starter trying to crankover.

I think it's not the same clicking like the ones when the battery is not providing enough power. it's a lot slower and it's in sync with the light flashing.
alsthough I don't have the headlights on but it flashes with the clicks.
also where exactly the starter is so I can try to tap it and see.
Thanks

Try This. Put it into gear and try rolling it a couple of feet. That should rotate the starter, and try cranking it back up. Maybe it will fire up. Hope this helps.

Stop giving false information.

Clicking noise + flashing lights = dead battery (dead battery doesn't mean completely dead, just not enough juice to start)

my car clicks, and headlights work when i have a dead battery... and if its really bad my radio works then shuts off randomly, that would be my first guess too, idk about the jumping situation though

load test the battery. takes more cranking amps to turn the starter in cold weather. check voltage with volt meter. it can be a dying battery or can be a dead starter. like someone posted, tap on the starter, with a small hammer or screw driver, sometimes it will start if you have a bad starter. dead-dying battery, the click is common, because the starter solenoid is engaging but will not crank. lights and other accessories will still function fine. "LOAD" test battery.

Alec, I don't give false info. Let's just see what the outcome is. Assuming there's no electrical problems. Most likely it will be the starter with the info the OPs provided.

Complete dead battery = No noise, no light, no start
Low charge battery = Dim lights, car will crank but not enough juice to turn over
Starter going out = Clicking noise
Alternator going out = Requent battery charge (even when new)
Bad Fuel Pump Relay/switch = No start, no noise

qen247, the battery might have enough juice for headlights and other accessories, but it needs a lot of juice to turn over an engine. Try jumping under the hood, that will be as close as you can get to the source. All the parts that you named can't fail all together. If you think it's a starter, turn ignition to start and let someone else lightly tap with a hammer on the starter. If you have a manual push it up to slight speed shift to 2nd and try starting and at the same time releasing the clutch. If these don't work then it is something else. Post your findings
