***Official Lenovo Employee Discount Thread***

I've been getting quite a few PMs about getting employee pricing, so I thought I would create my own thread for those interested in purchasing Lenovo products. Unfortunately, I do not have a website setup like rdp330ci had for E46fanatics, but I will try to find out if I can do that to ease the process. For now you would just have to order through me as I have to use my company serial # and last name to login to the Lenovo EPP website.

If you want to downgrade to Windows 7 x64 then it adds $30...yes it costs extra to downgrade.

Add a Warranty and Save Big! 20% Off Select Warranties Until 9/12.

Deals are also a little better right now because of Back to School sales.

Some laptops still come preinstalled with Windows 8.1 Pro x64. Other laptops might be sold with Windows 10 Home or Pro. Let me know what model you are eyeing so that I can look up pricing and configuration for you.

How about getting my W520 replaced?

I was using it normally. Decided to change the BIOS setting so that Num-Lock was on when the computer starts. Simple right? Changed the setting, save & exit. Computer won't start. Goes into an infinite loop and no combination of keys will work. Removed the motherboard battery, etc, etc, etc. Nothing. Called Lenovo and they said I was **** outta luck because the warranty was expired and it would be $1200 for a new motherboard. Ended up having to buy a new BIOS chip off eBay and soldering it onto the motherboard. Miraculously it worked.

From that point I vowed never to buy another Lenovo product again. Take super good care of it and it shits itself with zero support.

Unless.... they can totally redeem themselves

Great timing for this thread... What's up with this?
Lenovo is now using rootkit-like techniques to install their software on CLEAN Windows installs, by having the BIOS overwrite windows system files on bootup

Working on pricing now for the X1 Carbon, USB Dock and 2 monitors.

Just a heads up though I found out yesterday that the Bluetooth mouse is MORE on the Lenovo EPP website ($39.99) compared to Lenovo.com ($31.99). I already emailed customer service about this. If he needs the mouse right away then he should order it from Lenovo.com.

EDIT: It is slightly cheaper ($31.03) if you follow rdp330ci's link

Wow, didn't know about that. I am not a Lenovo employee, so I cannot speak for them.

I talked to a CSR and they told me that there are always promotions starting/ending and prices change all of the time depending on what website you are using.
Looks like Lenovo EPP fixed the pricing on the bluetooth mouse this morning. It now shows $30.39 and is cheaper than rdp330ci's website, so I can get that for him.
Their pricing on the X1 Carbon has changed this morning as well (...it became more expensive by ~$70), but is still cheaper than rdp330ci's site.
The monitors, however, are cheaper on the rdp330ci site @ $206.10/monitor. I would suggest your friend buy the monitors there.
I can get your friend the ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock cheaper.
I will PM you all of the pricing.

I went on the website and there's already discounted laptops at 30-40ish % off.

Now, what exactly was the purpose of this thread? Am I able to get more discount on top of the already discounted laptops?? Because I'm in the market for an i3 for normal email and movie streamings.

I use a completely different website that you don't have access to called Lenovo EPP. What model are you looking at?
