Sportbike riders

ASV lever are dodo, they're difficult to adjust with gloves on.
I think gear indicators are gay, if you have time to look at it, you're going slow enough where it doesn't matter, if you are going fast, you won't have time to see it.

I buy takeoffs from a local CCS racer, and off nesba and wera forums.

bike is stored up in the garage for winter. will probably start it today to make sure its still alive, it has so many miles on it lol...oh but, my LAST payment on the bike is due this month for $38! its now officially mine!

i still owe like 1300 on mine and like 3800 on my car. maybe this year.

after 5 years and 36,000 miles, finally. its alllllllllllllll mine!

Gear indicators are a great mod.They help train you to be in the correct gear at a certain part of the track.You use your peripheral vision to look,not gawk at it.I love mine.

yeah but i'll probably adjust them once and then just leave them, don't see the need to adjust them while i'm on the bike.

as for the indicator i kept going into first by accident in the chicanes at road a, second felt like i was bogging out and first was too touchy so i'd just like to have it for certain turns

My boy keeps insisting that he needs one too but I can't see it.
I've ridden bikes with them, and I've never paid attention to it long enough to see the need for em, especially on a liter bike.

i don't look at the spedo on the track, and i rarely look at the tach but in the slower sections i sometimes struggle with finding the right gear. not everyone needs it but i haven't been riding all that long and i think i'd benefit from it

I don't think I'd ever look at a gear indicator on the track. Don't really know why you would need one to be honest. It's all about feel on the track in my opinion.

I wish my 848 had a gear indicator. Ah well!

I want a twin, but I can't shake this desire I have to buy a wrecked R6 and go all out, ohlins, rims, full ti exhaust everything and make a mean track bike.

rode the bike for the 1st time in about a month an a half today. took her for a huge spin around. then snapped a few pics before putting her back up.
hopefully myself and a few cats can go for a ride this weekend.

Does anyone have any statistics/research/evidence/proof showing sportbikes aren't as dangerous as people say when you are wearing proper gear? Also, how much would insurance typically be for a young first time rider. Thanks in advance!

good luck finding that proof. i think statistically they have more serious injuries and fatalities. good gear reduces this number significantly tho.
