Need your thoughts guys.

I have gotten serious about upgrading (money is already set aside). I have also decided that a new bike it out of reach (and really unnecessary).I am looking for a early 2000's 700cc-1L bike. Price range is preferably under 4K. milage around 15K +- a few. I went and looked at a CBR929 today. Guy wanted 3K for it, but it was complete garbage - spray paint everywhere - gas cap didnt even shut.

So bikes I am considering:

CBR 929 / 954 (like 2000-2004)
Yamaha R1 or FZ1 (dont know a lot about this bike)
GSXR 750/1000

Is there anything else I should be looking at? I checked my insurance, and a liter bike doesnt do any more damage than a 600CC (I ran the 929 and the R1 and they were about the same)

PS: Griff I love that pic./

its way sexy, but honestly thats too much bike for me. I use it for driving around town, and a little fun. I have an e30 that already wants to eat me alive everytime i get in it. GLWS though.

There is a VERY big difference between a stock liter bike, and a race prepped machine. The power doesnt scare me, I want something that has a stock suspension. I run some "track" springs in my Ninja, and it gets old on a commuter - granted that bikes stock springs were designed for a 90lbs Japanese girl, but still.

Stock rear shock included for free.
It's not race prepped. I just track it.
Nothing much as far as power mods. Basic stuff.

Granted I dont know as much about bikes as i do about cars, but that looks pretty aggressive to me. Either way your in VA so its a little beyond reach, plus I would rather it go to someone who can use that on the track.
