My Ride: What else?
I'd hate the idea of not having the option at all, I actually enjoy riding with her, but she had a hard time on my old bike (had to stop every 30mins to keep her legs from cramping up)

I'm checking out the Duc forums to see if there are any after market seat options, and the height of the rear pegs.

All is not lost yet

definitely....the feedback I've gotten so far is that shorter women find it comfortable, but she's 5'8

I'm going to get her to sit on one this weekend, to see how it feels.

We tested a Multistrada last week and it fit her perfectly

My lord this R6 can haul. It is actually tough to keep her below/around the speed limit.

Also, she feels like she runs hot between my legs. My Naked SV never felt hot, ever. Are the fairing's supposed to channel the heat towards the rider's inner legs?

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I don't imagine the SF would be better for 2up than my Monster was since their frames look identical....plus it's probably still way out of my price range. (I'd love to own one as a second bike in a few years though)

I'm seeing low mileage 1100 (s)'Motards for just under $8k, which is just amazing, considering the engines you're getting for that price (especially since they have Termis installed). So if I can make it fit all my requirements, then I'll in heaven

The new Multis actually look good to me, compared to a lot of other Sport Touers. But admittedly I'm biased, as I've spent a lot of time looking exclusively at ST'ers over the last year, so I've learned to evaluate bikes based on comfort and practicality (as opposed to comparing their looks to pure Supersports, which are built for speed first)

Unfortunately, the new Multis cost ~$20k..no way I'd pay that

I'm also going to test ride an FZ1 and a Ninja 1000/S1000 tomorrow

Hey chris, its a yamaha thing. I had an 03 R6 last year and it ran hot as hell, and now I have an R1 and still rides hot. Dont worry its normal. You can exchange the coolant with something called "water wetter" I believe. Im not too positive though. But itll keep the bike a little cooler.

As far as I know the sf shares a frame and detuned motor with the 1098 and the monsters have their own chassis.
The rake angle is more relaxe on the SF tho.

Rossi heads back to Yamaha for 2013 on two-year contract

http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2012/R...%20to%20Yamaha

Quote:
Valentino Rossi first joined Yamaha in 2004 and achieved four MotoGP World Champion titles with the Yamaha YZR-M1 in 2004 & 2005 and again in 2008 & 2009. He won 46 Grand Prix races with Yamaha over a 7-year period before leaving at the end of the 2010 MotoGP season.

Rossi, who is presently 8th in the Championship standings, will partner Jorge Lorenzo who currently leads the 2012 MotoGP World Championship by 23 points, having taken five victories from the first ten completed races of the 18 race series.

Lin Jarvis, Managing Director, Yamaha Motor Racing

"This announcement is once again excellent news for Yamaha. In June we were able to sign Jorge Lorenzo for the 2013-14 campaign and now we are able to confirm Valentino Rossi for the next two years. In doing so we have been able to put together the strongest possible team to challenge for victories and to promote the Yamaha brand.***8232;***8232;We have run this 'super team' together in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and during that time we achieved the 'triple crown' titles with Rider, Manufacturer and Team World Championship victories for three consecutive years.***8232;***8232;The target for the future is obvious and we will do our utmost to achieve our goals.***8232;***8232;I have no doubt that with the experience, knowledge, skills and speed of these two great champion riders we will be able to challenge for many race wins and for the 2013 & 2014 World Championship titles.***8232;***8232;The signing of Valentino completes our future planning for the Yamaha Factory Racing MotoGP Team. Now that this is done we will put our 100% efforts into completing the job at hand and to supporting Ben Spies and Jorge Lorenzo in their search for race victories and for Jorge's 2012 World Championship title challenge."

Press release courtesy of Yamaha Factory Racing.

I guess you aren't a Rossi fan huh.
Remember it was Yamaha that made him feel 2nd rate after he broke his leg.
All of a sudden the multi time world champion who gave Yamaha its mojo back didn't matter. It was all about the young Lorenzo.

Yamaha wasnt blame free in the split. And he didn't suck at Ducati. Ducati sucks for everyone but Casey stoner. Who rumor has it Ducati has offered him $20mil to come back.
