Well gents. After 11 months without a bike and almost 1.5 yrs since the track. I think I'm about to get me another scooter.
Found a 05 600RR on wera that's 2.5hrs down the road and dude accepted my offer.
Seems like its one of those ones that crashed early and was made a track bike, all its life or had the gauge cluster replaced.
Either way. Should be solid. Them RRs have like no issues.
This one has suspension already.
All it needs is a rider.
All it wants is my mag wheels mounted, a brembo master and some fuel management tuning.

If all goes well, I'm gonna go pick it up next weekend.
It's 100% track only. So I will have to see about making it to Jennings here soon.

Oh hai, sportbike newb here. Random question, are steering stabilizers a "must have"? What exactly do they do? Are they intended as more of a track necessity, or do they provide advantages on the street as well?

My 00 CBR years back didn't have one, and I never felt like I needed one, but I've had a couple people tell me "I NEED one"

The sharper you make a bikes handling. The twitchier the steering usually becomes.
Sometimes it's setup Incorrectly and the steering becomes twitchy.
It's a relationship between the rake and trail.

If u hit the right bump or surface irregularity or sometimes just the floating the front wheel and putting it down at that perfect angle the steering can quickly go into what is called a tank slapper. If u don't know what that is, YouTube it.
The dampener basically dampens this early so it doesn't get out of control and send u flying.
It's by no means a must have, but its nice to have and when u feel it kill an incoming tankalapper a few times, you'll be very happy u had it.

I got a 03 R6 for sale at my shop if anyone is interested. Very clean and in great condition. 18k miles.
I have a 05 600rr and the R6 feels a lot quicker than my bike... I'm not sure if it has been modified or not, all I do know is that it has an aftermarket exhaust.

Also, if you guys can, could you like my shop's page on FB, trying to get a larger reach.

Can one person use a rear stand to lift the rear up without the bike tipping or falling over?

Yes, just hold the tail and balance it while you position the stand. easy peasy!

Adjusted controls to my liking. Reinstalled intake tubes. Now all I need is a brembo master and a quick shifter. Stomp grips and lightweight battery ordered already.
