I got a quote for insurance today, 781 for comp/collision (full) coverage yearly, roughly 65 a month for a 2011. Is this a normal price?

What state are you located in and what type of bike? Also age/driving record/ credit history all play into it so it really varies per person. (I am an insurance agent)

Before I got my motorcycle license I got a quote for $26/month (full coverage). I had the bike (05 cbr600rr) and I put no experience. This was through progressive... so yes his is pretty high

Last year when I insured my 02 R6, it was $116 for one year, so like 10 bucks a month but I paid in full, and it was liability only. NJ license/ins.

This year, it's a 2011 Daytona 675 that I want/need full coverage.

Could this be because of my accident last year (I got hit on the bike, report said drivers were unaware and it ended up No Fault accident on my part) so maybe... idk

My Ride: IR M3 Vert.
Annitori QS acquired for the 600RR.
Brembo RCS and galfer sbk lines installed, as well as new Carbon Loraine C60 pads.
Dropped 1 in the front with a new sprocket. Drive gears front/rear -1/+1

Next, install QS and decide and buy some fuel management system.
Thinking I may just throw a pc3 on it and CSL it good.

Waiting to hear from GPtech for a drawing to see if I can legitimately fit my galespeed type Ms to the 600.

But hopefully I can get a trackday in soon and actually ride this bish. Lol

My Ride: Too many to list
Cleaned the carbs on the gixxer last weekend, only to find the previous owner had rigged the vacuum lines on them. There's little rubber "T's" that sit in between the carbs, that feed them vacuum from the airbox, and being it's an older bike the rubber is deteriorating. The previous owner tried hose clamping the rubber lines to the deteriorating rubber T's. No wonder it ran a little weird.

Do you guys have any advice for transporting a motorcycle?

I have purchased a Baxley sport chock and four tie downs and a handlebar brace (straps)...

Other than that, anything else I should look out for?

How much tension should I apply on the tie downs?

canyon dancer for clip ons? i'm not sure if your bike has clips on or if you already have one.

i usually compress the suspension a few inches so it can still travel if needed, but better to do less than too much.

ive felt the onset of many, and dampers quickly killed em every time.
I dont think its as common on dirt/SM bikes, due to their rake. and long suspension.
