lol lol lol... mass confusion.

1) We got the bike to slip it.. the buyer is in Russia

2) Although being Russian myself and having the desire to go there to visit - I'm in no current position to do so.

3) Finally, I didn't get rid of the gsxr... but now I have a strong itch for a liter bike.

A bike you can break all the laws in without leaving 1st gear... I ride my roommate's CBR1000 occasionally, and I can never even begin to approach the redline while commuting to work (on the highway).

Definition of the phrase "crotch rocket."

I used to redline 1st and 2nd on my 04 1kRR all the time. It was easy. Just make sure it's clear infront and behind run up there and shut it down quick. Lol

Yep. Somewhere up there. Gotta be quick a out it. I usually did it at select on ramps where I had a clear view. Then just pin it and then shut it down. Quickly.

I'm about to be temporarily relocated to Manhattan for 2 months... which means no motorsports toys until November .

I'll miss my three ladies ,

My Ride: What else?
I know this technically isn't a "Sport" bike, but....I rented a BMW K1200LT this weekend and did some touring with my wife. We rode for about 6hrs and logged a few hundred miles in the Hill Country.

Impressions:

That sucker is heavy, and hard to maneuver at crawl speeds, but once you get over ~5mph, the weight disappears and she's surprisingly nimble for a big girl.

The engine is super smooth and pulls like a freight train. Taking off from red lights was so much fun, and cruising on the highway was just a joy. But most importantly, the bike is AMAZINGLY comfortable and had more creature comforts than most compact sedans ( wife actually fell asleep in the back).

Part of the reason I rented it is because I've been toying with the idea of buying a bike for long distance riding, and have been evaluating the different options on the market. While I love the bike for its comfort and highway performance, the weight is a deal breaker for me.

Great bike for anyone looking to do some 2-up riding though!

Thats awesome sir!! Glad it was a great experience for you and the lady. I'm curious as to what a BMW cruiser would sound like being driven spiritedly.

Yeah I really wish I still had my Gopro, the sound of the engine winding up was something I'd love to capture and play over and over again.

It was definitely "BMW" like, if you know what I mean (smooth, throaty whine)

WHen I was a kid my dad would take me for rides on the back of his Honda NT650 super hawk and I'd nearly fall asleep. I think I'd go into a REM sleep on that K1600!!

My wife decided she wanted to get a motorcycle. We went out shopping this weekend and ended up trading her Honda Ruckus in for a 2012 CBR250R. So far we have spent about 4 hours in large parking lots teaching her how to ride and she is catching on way quicker then I expected. Looking forward to doing some motorcycle rides with my wife.
