angel eyes out

i had these on for about 4 months but since it started getting cold my eyes start out real dim when i start the car after a minute they get their regular brightness but now my driver side angel eyes went out (both rings)..... would i have 2 remove the headlights again or could it be a bad ballast?
would appreciate any help

sounds like a bad ballast. swap ballasts side to side to see. you're over working your ballast. during the cold months, you should just disconnect them.

Likely a bad ballast as sillieidiot said. Follow his instructions and we should know what the cause of the problem is.

i noticed that yesterday (monday) it was a bit cold and raining and my angel eyes were screwed up. but they were working totally fine the night before. i just took out the fuse im gonna try it in a few to see if it was just the cold weather.

It's not likely to be a ballast. Based on a ring dimming, it's likely to be a bad connection.

If it's humid, moist, cold, etc. this can affect the connectors.

So far, this is the best DIY there is for fixing it and not having continued issues:
