619M3: My E46 M3 Project/Build

I'm not one for words so I'll just upload pictures with a brief discription:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Purchased 1/29/2013: 2004 BMW M3 Mineral White/6 speed manual with some goodies.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Body work and color change.
You ask why? After careful inspection of the paint and body; it needed it.
What bodyshop did the work? 2M AutoWerks in San Diego. Referred to me by a good friend and seeing their quality of work.
They only use PPG paint which was a plus.

OEM Color! Everything was striped down/taken off

OEM Bumper was replaced. Not by choice, but it just needed to be.

Varrstoen ES1's were also powdercoated Matte Black since the M3 was down.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Picking the right color. There was only one OEM BMW color that kept popping up on my mind no matter what other peoples opinions
were; Dakar Yellow it is.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Engine problems. What other way to fix things then to rebuild it along with the transmission. All gaskets, fluids, lines, belts,
waterpump, etc were replaced. Note: Subframe was also checked and no cracks were found.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interior was redone after vehicle was up and running again. Red recaro's were replaced since they did not go well with my color
scheme.
Steering wheel/shift boot/ebrake all done by Coby Wheel in Alcantara.
Aluminum trim: Done at 2M; Matte Black with Dakar Yellow splatter (medium) then sprayed with Matte Clear

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One piece lip was put on, but then cracked along with the bumper a couple days later

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Current state: since my car is in the shop waiting for a new front bumper, I've decided to change the rims (Thanks to FLOSS for
setting me up with a rare wheelset that's so cleannn). Sneak peek: HRE 549S 18x10.5 fronts and 18x12's rear.

To do mod's/on order: Supercharger/Subframe rebuild

Love the color choice. The only thing I don't like is the black wheels. The new wheels look fantastic. Too match the brightness you should go with oem clear corners, will look super clean. THIS is a build. Very nice.

Dakar Yellow looks so good. How much did the paint job cost?

LOL! it wasn't pot holes. Tire blow out pieces that came from a semi truck was the reason.

Unique! I like the new wheels a lot better. Also interior trim would look nice in yellow suede. From far away the platter just looks like it's peeling paint.

Fantastic! I really like the yellow splatter trim. Ever thought of doing yellow contrast stitching on the seats?

Looks great but, hold on...

Did you actually repaint a rare, Individual color such as Mineral White?! A bland silver or black one wouldn've been a better donor car.
