Hey Brian - which clutch did you go with? Do you have clutch chatter or other noises? Any noises other than the TS whine? Have you had any oil consumption?

What can I do to prevent the bolt issue you and Walter experienced?
Clutchmasters Stage 3. Sintered Kelvar.

I don't have chatter or whine or whatever. Just be sure that AJ programs a 900RPM idle and you are fine.

No abnormal noises other than a I6 engine sounding like a V8.

You mean the block issue? It is a rare occur that we have yet to figure out why it happened. From what Walter told me, he should have played it safe and double checked anyways to make sure the block would hold by loosing the head bolts and then retorqueing them to make sure they will hold. I wouldn't worry about the block thread issue with your car.

JB Racing Flywheel with Clutchmasters Stage 3 Sintered Kelvar Clutch.

The information is very scattered. Once my dyno is complete, I will compile a thread that sums it all up to make information gathering easier.

Navin - i will always race you - and as Scott has told me - I have big balls and will outrun you one way or another...lol

I am getting close to joining Brian - waiting to talk more with Aj and possibly Walter out in CA. I want 400+rwhp
Keep those big balls to yourself, LOL. If I'm ever dumb enough to find myself in the situation where you and I are racing, I'll humbly let you pass me (not that I need to let you... you'll just pass me period), LOL.

Leave it to my buddy here to go offtopic in my thread, LOL.

Congrat on the twin screw. I am jealous. Seem like everyone on this forum are now either doing twin screw or turbo for boost. My setup is so outdated.

Thanks Doug! What setup do you have? I wouldn't worry too much whether your setup is outdated or not... just be happy you're one of the privileged few that was able to afford getting a s/c to begin with.

I don't think a supercharged 323 automatic will be faster than a manual zhp. They do the 0-60 in 5.6. I think Navin's car will do high 5's to low 6's. My .02.

Actually I think my particular setup with the twin screw may be faster than a non-supercharged, stock manual ZHP despite me having a 323i automatic, at least by looking at the HP/torque numbers between the 2 cars.

I guess time will tell who is faster but I am betting on the stock zhp. Now if you had a 323 manual you might have a shot (that would be close), it would be a driver's race.

A manual 323 TS1 is significantly faster than a stock ZHP, especially from 40-100+mph.

I was basing my comments strictly on the hp/torque numbers, both of which are greater than the stock zhp... in any case I could care less which car is faster... I'm just happy I'll be supercharged finally.

Asbjorn... check your email when you get a chance. I emailed you a couple of days back.

What about an automatic 323i TS1? Would you still say it's faster than a stock ZHP?

Thanks Gunnar! I'd like to see Gunnar's wagon race Stuart's wagon.

Thanks bro. I might do an after dyno, don't really have the time to do a before dyno... plus I'm a little hesitant about doing a dyno, especially if there is any risk of damage to my car's auto tranny, etc.
