It is possible to make the auto light function work with the remote key feature when installing angel eyes? How so?

I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean wire them up so when you lock/unlock the car they AE's fade in and out? If that, then thats do-able. I did that. Tapped into the accessory wire and then used the remote wire and tapped that into an interior light

sorry if i was not clear. All I want is this: I want my angel eyes to fade in and out when I use my remote, I want them to stay on all the time when the car is running, but I don't want them interfering with the auto headlight operation as i always keep it turned on.

there should be a wire on your wire harness specifically for that, you run that wire to the footwell light and use a wire tap.

yeah looks like I will have to put the glovebox down in order to achieve that.. wish I could do this without involving the inside of the car... *sigh*

I did this exact setup. AE's run all the time. They fade in and out with my Key FOB everytime I lock and unlock the car. Looks cool imo.

I wired it up the wire to the accessory wire. Then I used the trigger wire and routed it through the passenger side (yes you do have to drop the glove box) And tap it into the interior light.

Link one is for those who don't have the remote option in their harness...but if you do, the wiring is the same. You just tap the trigger wire to the interior foot light

Changing my old CCFL halos to the newer LED Predator Orion V2's ... and while using this link:

http://www.fastm.com/m3/angeleyes.html

which shows how to do the install. It's a great write up, but when it comes down to the brown trigger wire, he just tapes it up. This trigger wire is the one to use for the remote function ... isn't that correct?

Always on = Red wire w/ yellow strip in the ECU box
Auto fade on/off = Red wire on driver's side footwell lighting

You haven't had a chance installed them yet?

Mike,

Nope, not yet ... I wanted to this week, but I did my new LED tail lamps first and then got called into work before I got to start up on these.

so, if I'm to understand you correctly ... the brown trigger wire is for nothing, other than a test trigger??? so, no way of getting these to come on when locking and unlocking your car??? Isn't the always on feature only when the car is running??? My current CCFL's are wired to fade on and off when locking and unlocking the car and wired to be always on when the car is running.

Dave
