Exactly... I would like to keep as much of my Yakima pieces as possible. It's just that I think I prefer how the Thule mounts fit the bolts on the roof. I put a few scratches on my previous car getting the Yakima rack on and off.

I know there is a photo on this forum.. just search.. the Thule rack is the way to go with your sedan. I'm lucky with my touring.. rack doesn't touch any painted surface as I just clip onto the factory rack.

I just put on the Yakima basket and getting ready to head up to Tahoe. It's a tight fit to get on since I also have with 2 bike trays. I'll shoot a pic soon.

Not that I am aware of. Yakima made adapters for factory racks years ago but since stopped.

Here are a couple of quick pics I took last weekend. Just got the car about 8 weeks ago, so someday I'll do a little photoshoot and get some better pics. Anyways... Thule 753 roof rack with medium fairing and 517 Peloton fork mount. All purchased from orsracksdirect.com. Highly recommended.

off topic, but i just rode that bike yesterday.... just put the compression on the fork on full, put on propedal on the rear shock.... and it feels like a hardtail with no susp. fork. pedals like crazy with shocks comp. set to soft also!!

and the m3 is to die for with the thule and medium faring
