Also, just looking at the t56 tranny, thing just looks huge! But supposedly it only weighs about 130lbs. I've been hearing that a fully dress "wet" LS1 is around 475 with the use of headers. The stock manifolds are pretty heavy.

The motor will be place as far to the rear and low as possible for the best weight distribution.
from what i could find, the manual actually weighs more than the auto so you'd have a little extra weight near the middle of the car, and itd also be very low in the car, i don't think its going to hurt the feel of the car AT ALL.

I know! When I saw this, I was like WTF! Must be a heavy @ss clutch. I was contemplating going to manual, then I realized I stupid that really sounds

Wow you will be my hero if you make this work. I was a american muscle guy for years untill I got my e36 M3. If you can combine the muscle car and sports for anywhere near the cost you are saying that would be great.

I'm probably going to keep the sound muffled as much as possible. I don't want to scream that there is something different under the hood....that is until I open the 4" cutout valve!!!!!!

you'll be hard pressed to fit more than dual 2.5" under there to be honest. 4" is a pipe dream, literally.

The 4" will be an intemediary pipe joining the two header pipes. After the 4" intermediary, I was hoping to split 3" pipes going out the back.

Curious as to why you can't run anything more than 2.5" out the back. Aren't there a lot of "big" turbo guys who are running 3" pipes all the way out the back?

theres not much room under the trans and driveshaft, you'll seriously limit the room between the road and the bottom most part of your car, which will turn into your exhaust. if you're lowered, you'll likely scrape your exhaust on the ground. you know, there are plenty of 500+hp cars out there that run 2 1/4 and 2.5" piping, 3" is overkill, imo. so is 4".

Looking forward to seeing your project progress. Even though I said it was treason, I wish you luck. It will definitely be unique once it's finished.
