Replacing after market angel eye halos seperately?

Can this be done? I have the Preditor Chromium and have had two go bad already. One right out the box and now another 5 mos. after installation. Are these things just not reliable? Im also thinking that they are all made by the same place over seas. Just branded w/ the sellers name on the box.

When my first ring went out, I went straight to the source and they repaired it and glued it back together. Im going to do the same thing on the second one.

I guess my main question is reliability. If these things cant even make it a year w/o failing, they arent worth buying or keeping on the car.

I've been running the CCFL DDEs since 2004 and have never had a ring die on me. Pretty reliable mod IMO. Just order some replacement rings.

Cold Cathode Florecent Lighting (CCFL) Daylight Demon Eyes (DDE). Predator Chromiums are CCFL DDEs.

The Umnitza halos are made by MyCarr and are just repackaged with some slight differences in backing materials and such. The new Orions are LEDs do not burn out and are not as susceptible to damage like the Chromium CCFL DDEs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can buy one pair of them and change out just the side that is broken.

Try Umnitza Orions? I've had these for 2 weeks and they look amazing! I really believe these will last long.. no ballast no cold start.. really only worried about the led going out.. it doesnt happen for a very long time

Umnitza says that the LEDs won't ever burn out. I hope this is true

LED's last like forever......I wouldn't worry about them burning out.

That's exactly it. More info can be found in this thread:

We have replacement rings available if needed.

You are referring to Umnitza rings, not generic replacements.
Give us a call.

Your rings should be covered under the lifetime warranty offered with the Predator Chromiums so first contact your vendor about troubleshooting tips and a replacement.

With that said, I have run chromiums in my car since they were first introduced in their latest iteration over 3 years ago. They are a solid kit and have been trouble free for me and 99% of our customers. If you need replacement rings, make sure they are predator rings as various generic kits come in different hues and outer plastic casings that will not match.
