My Ride: 2005 645 Cabrio
hey everyone-

i'm so sorry, for some reason i'm not getting email alerts to new posts here.

some quick answers:

in california, lemon law is basically a buyer's remedy under breach of warranty pursuant to the Beverly-Song Act (i thinjk that's what it's called). This remedy allows for a consumer's defective vehicle to be repurhcased by the factory for full purhcase price, MINUS the number of "good" miles -- i.e., miles before the first event triggering the lemon law claim.

Some events off the top of my head that can trigger this claim:

4+ unrepairable defects -- ANY defects
2+ unrepairable potentially life-threatening defects (brake system, etc.)
30+ non-consecutive days in shop within a 12-month period

BUT: the car must be under EITHER the ORIGINAL manufacturer's warranty OR an EXTENDED MANUFACTURER'S warranty.

Therefore, since i was still under the extended manufacturer's warranty, AND since my car had been in the shop 4+ times for one or more problems AND had been in the shop 30+ days within a 12 month period, I more than qualified.

Hope that helps answer your questions.

As for the 6, let me post a write-up i did ..... although, i thought i alreayd posted it here somewhere?!
