ok I just read thru all 12 pages of this.

I have a UUC TSE3 light which is quieter than the regular TSE3. Do you guys think my car will be too loud if I put on these headers? Do cats affect the sound? We don't have any emissions laws here but I wouldn't mind putting on some aftermarket cats if it'll help make it quieter.

It will still be loud because they are still "cannister" style, and not an actual muffler. Cats muffle A LOT of sound, and thus by removing them, you will make your car noticeably louder. I don't suggest doing headers with any UUC exhaust system, because it is unbearably loud. I mean, wake-the-dead loud.

Do it and find out yourself. If it's quiet now, then chances are it won't be that bad when you put headers on.

Adding headers to your car is going to make your exhaust raspy no matter what.

drone does suck.......I am so apprehensive on noise.............

unless I decide to go TS+ or a TS3 supercharger setup, I am going to hold off on headers.

I picked up a ZHP muffler today for a slightly different sound, maybe that will suffice.

KPeng.....the sponsor hasn't contacted the supplier from what I hear.......did he change his mind?

newbee here.

Got the headers this morning, the output piping measures 2". I want to install the magnaflows spun cats - environment thing - I assume I need a 2" IN/OUT then. http://www.planetmagnaflow.com/shop/...54954-673.html

Awesome thread Kpeng

The Uuc Tse2 sounds amazing with headers and is not really loud. The only downside of this exhaust is that there is alot of drone.

E46 328i Headers. Where to buy?

Does anyone know where I can get these? I have been looking for them on Ebay and can't find any from the suggested buyers. I found these, will they work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-00...06011464r20579

It looks like they only have 2 holes for the o2 sensors. I believe the BMW 328's need 4???

Those are definitely not the right ones.

Not overrated at all. In fact, as far as bang for your buck, they are right up there at the top of the list.

but the car gets loud with vibrations and reading enough threads people get irritated with that.

its a mod i'd consider but i have a rogue dms exhaust - anything louder than that would be too loud for me. suggestions?
