My Ride: E46 competition pack
intake problem, need help!

soo i have a 05 m3 and i just got a k&N cold air intake 57 series and a power agency exhaust installed.....when i picked it up from the shop when i started my car it like burbles and the idle is all messed up for like 15 seconds or so the rpm's jump to about like 2,000 and just below 1,000 then it just levels out after 15 seconds or so...the person at the shop said the cars computer is just trying to regulate the air that is comming into the engine...and it should eventually be fine once the computer figures it out....however when i hit around 3,000 rpms or so in 2nd gear it almost just like cuts out on me cuz im guessing there is to much air going into the engine and the computer is trying to correct it....i had my 2 friends look at it and they switched the sensor around and that didnt work...however when we unplugged the sensor and took it for a drive it the car was fine....it would accelrate with no interuption.....so i was just wondering should i bring it back to the shop and be like wtf....fix this or do u guyz think the computer will eventually figure it out???
