$4k is reasonable..?

$8k is absolutely fucking ridiculous and $4k is just as bad.

Vorsteiner is certainly not the price leader, that is not what they intend. They produce the highest quality carbon fiber aerodynamic components available and given the attention to detail in terms of design, production and use of materials, the price is justified. Vorsteiner exclusively uses a dry vacuum forming production process that commands higher material and manufacturing costs. The result is carbon fiber that is significantly stronger, lighter weight and produced with less flaws than what you get with wet lay.

If you are looking for affordability, I would go to ebay and pick up a wet lay piece. These are much cheaper to produce and widely available. However, if you want a piece that won't yellow, won't warp, has guaranteed perfect fit and weave, then Vorsteiner is the way to go.

Thanks for the lesson in carbon fibre nick , but I was not talking about the their CF pieces. I was talking about the fact that Vorsteiner is trying to charge $4k for an exhaust. Thats completely ridiculous and quite frankly it upsets me that a company like this would try and take advantage of its consumers by trying to sell a $2k product for twice that.

Please explain to me how and why the exhaust system costs four thousand dollars...! I am in no way trying to start a fight, I would just like to understand the pricing

Well, they do replace them if they don't fit, right? (At least I would hope so if they're "guaranteed")
