How to reset the Inspection reminder after I did DIY ?

Edit: OK, apparently that was a stupid question. The service intervals are preset according to the mileage/spent fuel and one can't choose which one comes next.

Exactly, your oil service was due, the next service should be an inspection service, which having successfully reset the counter, is now telling you it's due in 15500 miles.

You will of course do an interim oil and filter change, right?

Ah but 50 miles since what? Since the oil change? No, because your car's ECU doesn't know about that until you tell it. It means 50 miles (or to be more precise, to have consumed 10 litres or 2.5 gallons of fuel) since the last service reset. Of course you've done 1000's of miles so there's no extra driving required.

Mines a 99 328CI. When I do the button pushing method all I see is test. When I shortcut pins 7 and 19 with the key in position 1 nothing happens.
Should the key be in position 2 ?

just changed my oil it was showing 4300 miles untill OIL CHANGE.. now that I changed my miles, i reset the clock again. but now its saying inspection 15500.. how do i get it back to miles OIL CHANGE< or is that even possible...

It's the same thing. Oil Changes is part of the Inspection.

I used the double push when the reset light was flashing and that did the trick
