Dress Attire for White Coat Ceremony

Hey guys,

I'm attending my girlfriend's white coat ceremony this weekend and was

wondering what appropriate attire would be suitable for this event for me.

A suit? Business casual? Polo and Khakis?

Thanks

A white coat.

If you have a suit, wear it. It's a pretty important day that you will always remember, and a suit is in no way over-dressing for the event.

If you don't have a suit, some slacks dress shirt and a tie.

If you don't have a tie, dress shirt and slacks

If you don't have slacks, dress shirt and khakis

Don't show up in jeans and flip flops--to anything. haha.

You are going as a guest to the ceremony, and not part of it? Makes really no difference what you wear at all, no one will be paying attention to anyone but the new students, clapping for them like celebrities.

You could come in with a beater and flip flops and get away with it. Realistically, just wear a pair of pants, shirt and tie. No jeans.

It's more like a graduation ceremony for highschool sophomores. It's not a real graduation. Why not let them keep their humility until they're residents?
