I need two of 'em, the big ones, oh, and I need 'em TONIGHT! (Kpeng & Nitrous)
Ok, so I didn't get two of the big ones, but I have been (kinda) secretly piecing together a nitrous kit. This past weekend, the finishing touches were put on it, and I got the bottle filled this morning. So far, so good. The car feels great. Going to the Test & Tune tomorrow night at Gainesville Raceway, I'll be sure to post a video if I can, and if not, then a timeslip.
It's a real basic kit so far. 50 wet-shot being controlled by the NX Express FJO Controller. It's pretty badass, you can control when to spray, how much to spray, and have a WOT switch. And it's all done via a USB on a laptop. Soon, it'll get a bottle warmer, and a remote bottle opener. Here are some install pictures. The empty compartment in our engine bay makes a great mounting place for the controller. Excuse the mess, it was a work in progress, and cleaned up nicely. It's covered by my little "drug-bin cover" now. ![]() Solenoids are hidden underneath the car. There are a couple little...stubs? right by the transmission (driver's side, just above the support bracket) that seem like they were made for the solenoid bracket! If you looked at the car's engine bay, you could never tell it has nitrous. ![]() Bottle mounted in the spare tire well. We cut the plastic floor in half so I can lift it up like that without the subwoofer in the way. And when I got the kit from this kid, the bottle was white, all fudged up looking, and had some weird rust stuff going on. I sanded it down and painted it myself. It's a pretty blue now. YEAH! ![]() The used-kit I bought came with a tap for the fuel line. Unfortunately, we didn't secure it well, and it ended up falling off and dragging under my car for a while...it was destroyed. And I didn't want to tap into fuel at the fuel rail because it wouldn't of allowed me to put my CF engine covers back on. Not to mention, my whole install was to be stealth! So my very mechanically inclined friend, Mr. Nile Nesbitt created this from plumbing parts at our local hardware store. ![]() Tuning it up with the program that came with the FJO Controller on my trusty (but crappy) Dell laptop. ![]() Gee, does this car have nitrous? ![]() Here's a video: Timeslip and track vid (hopefully) tomorrow.

I knew I forgot a picture. Refresh and check the 2nd picture now. We mounted the solenoids on the underside of the car. I didn't know too much about nitrous going into it, and just kinda learned as I went. My friend Nile did most of the work, he's a certified mechanic and much more mechanically inclined than me.

The laptop is used to tune the controller. You set your preferences, upload it onto the controller via USB, and that's it. The laptop doesn't have to be in the car. I'm keeping it there for a couple days so I can make adjustments though.

I'm spraying between 3000 RPM and 6350 RPM. I didn't want to get too high to be safe. But I think I can bring it up to 6450 RPM. It's a Nitrous Express Wet Kit. I'm not sure the specific model as it was used. And yeah, 50 shot because of the tranny, and I didn't want to mess with timing. I talked to a lot of credible sources who said if I went 75 shot, I'd have to start playing with that. It's not something I want to mess with at this point.

I know I need it. The bottle is only at about 800 psi right now. I'd like to get it up to 1000 or so.

If you want to continue with performance, I would do a tranny swap and get the shark edit and tune the DME for it. It shouldn't take more then 2 or 4 hours on a dyno
