Is that because the S50 is OBD1 and the s54 is OBD2 and it is hard to put a s54 OBD2 in a e30? Or no

Yeah, it's cleaner this way, lol. I guess it's a wiring nightmare to put the S54 in the E30, but it's doable. MITE46 has that S54 E30 project going as I recall.
