It seems to be a common problem for e46's not wanting to unlock all doors at once but locking them all properly. I need to get mine fixed

The same thing happened in my E36 and I had to replace it... but haven't had any issues in the E46 knock on wood.

Is this issue currently happening in your E46?

Definitely was a good day, even with the early cut off because someone just had to go to the Black Eyed Peas concert. JK, we know you went to see Fergie.

ZHP Days - Session 1 is officially in the books. Session 2 should be a good one as well. I didn't pay to much attention taking photos. I ended up with 97 total but hardly any of them are good. Here's how the day started...

I spy twins. Oh wait, one's a sedan and the other's a coupe.

Going up.

im sure you can, im thinking you would have to get a header with 2 O2 bongs or get a shop to custom weld them in for you. Check out some other threads, alot of other states run emissions so theres plenty of info on this.

I will have the rest of them later. I'll be making a thread in the Showroom. Most of the pictures are just photo documentation of my car. A lot are multiple duplicates of the same thing so I can pick out the best.

In NC, emission checks are based on the county it's registered in as well as the year. If your car is registered in Mecklenburg Co., then yes, you have to do emission checks every year. It's performed at the same time the safety inspection is done. There are still a few counties that don't require emissions inspections at all. Yadkin Co., my home county, is one of these. The only thing required is an annual safety inspection. I believe it's based on the population and/or number of vehicles register in the county.

If you want to do headers you'll need to install some kind of cats. Racing cats might work but there's no guarantee they will reduce the emissions to an approved level. The O2 things Bert is referring to will trick the car the thinking you have cats therefore no CEL; however, they don't help at all for emission checks. You will still fail.
