Exclamation Sputtering Problem

Recently I've been experiencing a sputter and loss of power, when i give the car some heavy acceleration from a stand still. If i power through the sputter the check engine light will go on and the car will shake when I come to a stop. Has anyone had this problem..........and any advice to fix it???

Could this be a plug mis-firing??

this is exactly what my car is doing!!! any input..

yes i know thread revival but i rather continue a thread thats already posted than create a new one

this is exactly what class of 2010 has to learn to do

in a nutshell...let off clutch reallyyyy slow, she goes 5 mph and like 900 rpm-1000 rpm, floor it, car sputters thru out entire redline, sometimes CEL comes on and car runs really rough with rough idle and barley any acceleration, when CEL comes on i turn car off and turn back on and no more light, run the same process again a couple times and eventually CEL comes on again..need help

ohh and when CEL is off car idles REALLYY smooth you dont even feel it..only rough idle when CEL is on

I'm actually experiencing a similar symptom on my car and have yet to get my hands dirty trying to diagnose it. It happened after I replaced my vanos seals and spark plugs back in January. It only happens for me occasionally though, maybe once a week when accelerating from a stop light. No SES light for me though. It almost feels like my problem is related to fuel. Maybe my injectors, or a clogged fuel filter.

Spark plugs are correct and were torqued to spec.

I was just stating that I don't believe this was the case for me as I torqued my plugs correctly. Post back results when you re-torque yours.

Do you have any idea how vague of a search term that is?

The problem here isn't really a rough idle either.

it's possible, my ICS was replaced and I was getting an ICS code when all this stuff was happening to me. If you have a CEL or SES light on try and get the codes read.
