I swear a mod or something should just post all the bimmerpost news section over here. It eventually comes over anyhow this way we won't get like 3-4 reposts.

Great vid though saw it this morning.

Looks sick, I love how the wide body matches the look of the car so perfectly, but sadly the Nissan GTR will make it its ***** at race track. Still a sick car never the less.

forgive me if I'm wrong but what does the ALMS have to do with this being the GTR car or not?? I was under the impression that an M3 GTR is what BMW calls its race version of the recent M3's.

For example,The e46 M3 GTR raced and had much success in the ALMS a few years back. They didnt say it wasnt a M3 GTR just because it raced in the ALMS. In fact it was called the e46 M3 GTR when it raced.

am I missing something?

I could care less what class, I said the car looked HOT. But I bet you anything on the face of this earth that the Nissan GTR would make that M3 pick up its teeth of the floor lol.

I am just talking from personal experience, I got a ride in a E90/92M3 and two days ago in a U.S spec GTR. Both are street models and boy oh boy does the NEW Nissan GTR haul ASS. So asumming the same goes for the race version's the GTR would pimp out that M3 on the track lol.

Be careful what you say...

This M3 would destroy a Nissan GTR. The fact of the matter remains that this will be the fastest (and probably the only) race-prepped M3 to be produced by BMW-Motorsport. It's going to be competing head-to-head with Porsches RSRs and the like. I would even argue that the M3 GTR may very well give a Nissan GTR a run for it's money...but even then, why even compare them? The Nissan is a fairly available street car and these M3s are going to be race-only (ALMS) & limited production (GTR) vehicles (of which the GTR will probably not come to the United States). IIRC even the E46 M3 GTR was faster than the all-mighty CSL which gives a strong indication that the new GTR will be faster than the new CSL...which will in turn be faster than the standard M3. Now, of course, the Nissan will beat a standard M3, but I wouldn't go around making any claims like that about any future production vehicles until official Nordschleife lap times are released. Just MHO

PS. A small caveat - keep in mind that the Nissan GTR's Nordschleife lap was documented on race (slick) tyres.
