Do you have a DIY for the jet booster plasma pack replacement? I've been trying to get a new one in, but I keep burning my face off.

Cabin microfilter won't throw a code. Clumsy installation disturbing underbonnet wiring may ?

Almost as bad as the "help, my dashboard lights keep flickering" thread. In which after several people tried to help finally he reveals that he had messed with his battery connections a couple of weeks before and maybe not quite tightened them up properly.

Hmmm, 2 + 2 = ??

NO. this is a common misconception. you must replace the plasma pack. it is recommended that you let a trained professional (NASA) do this for you. I think it runs about 30k for the part and about $7.49 an hour for astronaut labor.

Yes, the plasma pack in the jet boosters must be replaced. It is what is triggering the "jet booster out" light on the dash. NASA should be able to do it for you. www.nasa.gov

Thats only for the e46 model, if you have an e92, make sure to refer to the Star Trek Encyclopedia

+1!!! I didn't think there was anyone else who thought fast and the furious type stuff was moronic! The whole car modding world is so rapidly being filled with know it all morons & ricers.. Sometimes it makes me not even wanna mod my car anymore because after modding you can't have a smooth ride home without a moron with a "short man syndrome" in a civic or an integra tailgating you and trying to put me to shame. I remember a kid came into my shop one day and asked me to replace his throttle cables on his neon b/c they were bad and he had lost power.... While I was LMAO, I told him to find another shop and I didn't want his business

No I wasn't kidding... There is alot of ricers where I live and they think movies like this are the best movies ever made... There was a moron here in my town who thought he was Paul Walker and killed a pedestrian after coming out of the second Fast and the Furious, they really do think these movies are freakin awesome. Read what I said about the kid who came into my shop. He DEMANDED that I change his throttle cables out for new ones cause he was losing power b/c of it. If that's not the ultimate rice, I don't know what is. Maybe the bad throttle cables were pestering him with CEL's everywhere and all 15 of his gauges were beeping, this might be a common problem among the rice world.

i still know of tons of people who cant stand rice. i watched half of one of those movies before, and it sucked. bad. i think the majority (even if its only 51%) of the people on this site know how to properly mod, avoiding any rice. however, oemguy, and his scrolling LED thingy, is not one of those people.

Exactly! I will never understand why people buy modification parts for their cars on ebay. I never buy parts from ebay, not even a cabin filter. It would feel like I was buying car parts from walmart. Haha and I think I paid around 20 bucks for my cabin filter from the dealer using my commercial account (at least 15% discount, sometimes more) it certainly wasn't 40 dollars though.... Thats some major self-ownage haha
