You're a fool then. I buy a lot of stuff off eBay. You may not realize it, but it's mostly the same stuff most vendors on here sell.

Guess where I got my front bumper, CF door pillars, angel eyes, foglights, subwoofer amp, and rear bumper? Does my car look like a "Walmart" car?

I couldn't give any less of a damn where you buy your stuff or what your car looks like, makes no difference to me or my opinion. Maybe you should stop and think why your getting so defensive about a comment that wasn't even directed towards you or anyone else. I was just giving my opinion, and about whether your car looks like a walmart car or not, you answered your own question by getting so defensive and taking my comment so personally... I'm just trying to show you that not everything on eBay is crap. I don't know what you mean by "you answered your own question" by getting "defensive". Sounds to me like you're the one being defensive.

I bought my Mobil 1 from Walmart. Lowest price around.

Ebay is an auction site. They can/do sell genuine BMW oem parts on there at any given time.

thank you this is the kind of opinion/comment I respect, even if its not the same as mine.... b/c you didn't get on the defensive and call me a "fool". If you bought your oil there, great for you and more power to you! And I didn't know that about ebay, thanks for letting me know, maybe I will consider buying oem parts from there. And yes I agree, shut this thread down already!!

theres tons of great stuff on ebay. theres also tons of crap. ebay can be a great place to get things if you're smart enough to tell the difference.

i bought a chip for my old e30 from ebay for $40. dinan/turner etc. was $250. the ebay variation worked like a champ. made a world of difference and never caused a problem.

I have got some good deals off Ebay...and been ripped off as well. But I have also been ripped off hard by 2 Fanatics. It is pretty much a gamble either way unless you have the parts in your hand and can look at them, check the quality and hand over the cash. And hell ya, Walmart has the best deals on Mobil 1...too bad they do not sell 0W-40 at the stores out here that I have found. Got my XM radio tuner and Blitz off Ebay for 70 bucks...one hell of a deal to me.

Did you join just to destroy the ebayer's/ebay's reputation? Did you try contacting the person who sold it to you? They usually reply.

Sorry about the error code lighting up but i dont think it takes rocket science to reset the code.

Just to keep this going......back in 2005 my Chevy Silverado k1500, the wipers stopped working...known problem with the circuit board. Dealship wanted $200 for the circuit board and Ebay seller wanted 20 bucks. I took my chances......the wipers still work today!

Have yet to buy any bimmer stuff on Ebay. Wait..I bought a BMW keychain that was a piece of crap....now I'm confused ... Anyway, some savings can be had...moral of the story I guess....
