I'm retarded and crashed my car

Tonight me and a friend were coming home and we happened to take a turn that is kinda tight and stuff to go look at the beach so we took it, I had DSC on and everthing then I just tapped the gas during the turn and we did a full 360 the car jumped the curb and hit a construction fence. Luckily the car suffered very small amounts of damage, the scratches didn't go through the clearcoat so I'm pretty sure they can be compounded out by my mom wants to get the whole door repainted, the only other thing I could see tonight was that one of the wheels is going to need to be refinished becuase I guess the curb scraped it obviously. The car always will need a full look over to make sure everythign is still properly alighned and everything. An important lesson was learned to night. Unfortunatley for the first time I feel as though I don't desearve my car :sad:

No its her car she payed for it, I'd rather it not get repainted becuase it will be off but its her car. The road may have had ice I was unaware of but I don't think so mainly leaves and sand, I was going 20mph which was too fast, I know the accident was my fault so I'm not claiming its not. I just feel bad for the car

dude that is really really slow. i don't know how you could skid out in a turn while going that speed. even a hairpin turn. i guess if there was ice or something, but still, 20 MPH is really slow.

are you sure you weren't going faster?

nooooooo.. yea i felt horrible when a lady rear ended me. the car will never be the same! not the mention the paint has soo many imperfections and the body panels aren't alighned well. ah.. makes me sd everytime i think about it.

That sucks but at least there is not too much damage. If you were only going twenty, there probably was ice, ice definately sucks. Hope it all ends up alright.

Hey, could be worse. Doesn't sound like there was much damage to the car, and you're okay. Just be safe and try and watch out for ice, that $hit I'll sneak up on you and fu*k up your whole night... but I guess you know that :sad:

Alright well the day after, the car is perfect my mom wanted to go on a highspeed run with me to make sure it tracks straight and brakes straight, etc. The car still moves just likes its supposed to, all the original scratches that it are not actually scratches so they will be very simple to buff out, the wheel is the only thing that needs to be done, a bit of finish was taken off. I'm very lucky to have leanred this lesson at such an inexpensive cost, dry roads, warm temperatures, not cold weather, wet raods, sand gravel road to dry to have fun with the car. More importantly SAVE IT FOR THE TRACK. Thats my new motto.


WithDrew: Your right I was going more like 25 or 30 into the turn I'm not sure of the exact speed but it wasn't fast just too fast for the situation :sad:

I'm sure you know that you can fix the wheel.

There's a place in PA - Wheel Collision Center or something. I'm not aware of a closer one to south Jersey.

It's not expensive.

it could've been the sand bro. i was going around a turn by my house, and i took it at around 25-30mph but there was so much sand from all the snow that the rear fishtailed and i started heading straight for a tree. luckily, it finally caught grip and everything was cool. pretty scary though, and caught me completely off guard. good luck w/ everything bro, sorry to hear
