Im going to change my Diff and MANUAL trans fluid. My car has 119044 Miles on it I still has the original fluids in it
I haven't found the time to change the oil, My question is, When I change the oil in BOTH the Diff and transmission Will
I risk the same fate as the Step transmissions? Will my Diff be damaged with the Sludge?
(If it has any)

Now you might ask, why? Why not 15,000 mile oil changes like BMW recommends? Fact is, most synthetic oils will last that long, however...your oil filter won't. It's made of paper and will fall apart and let harmful little yuckies into your engine...and that's no good. I stick with Mobil 1 oil 5w30. However, you can run anything from OEM BMW Oil, to Castrol, Royal Purple, Amsoil, and Redline. Just make sure it is SYNTHETIC. Use only OEM oil filters (part #: 11 42 7 512 300)
don't know if it's already been asked, but why not change oil filter every 6000-7000 miles and change the oil every 13000-14000 miles?? changing the filter alone is easier and cheaper than having to do a whole oil change that's not necessary.

I guess you COULD change just the filter if you wanted every other time.

Question for you:
Are boobs and hands polarly charged, thus causing the inevitable joining of the two? If so are some breasts simply charged backwards?

On a scale from 0 to 24...wait, 3 to 24, where 6 is the lowest and 12 is the highest, how freaking high re you right now?

She's got you high, and you don't even know yet.

Thanks for the suggestion to read first post, chris.

It doesn't help though. I bought my car with 77k and no nothing of its history, i know. Say the fluid hasn't ever been changed, i'm at 83k now. If I change it, that sludge will break lose as stated in first post. What can i do?

Guess: change it, drive it for a few miles, change it again?
