new one coming out or the I6 version?

not to thread jack but what is going on w/ the z4

i know there is a new z4 successor in the works, but is the current z4 gonna get the new 3.0TT and the 4.2 V8?

I know the z3 had production of the S54 for the last year or two, what about the z4?

OP is getting a used M Z3, not Z4.

yes, the 09 Z4 will use the same motors found in the 3 and 1 series with the MZ4 discontinued. the next gen MZ4 will use the V8 from the e92 M3.

i think he's talking about the currently produced z4m, with the I6...

from what i've seen it doesn't look like the current z4 will get any new engine options...
bmw usually introduces the roadsters in between their major model production cars (3ers, 5ers, etc)... so i'm guessing they'll cut this model soon (as they are already starting to offer incentives for dealerships to move their inventory) and then introduce the new model with all the new goodies...

if they offered a new z4 with an n54, then i would hopefully be first in line to take on home...

i've read the Z4 with the 3.0tt will MSRP at around $54K. at that price, you might as well pay a bit more and get the e92 m3.

The current Z4 is being discontinued in August 2008. The new Z-series will be a folding hardtop and will have the N54 and N52 engines, and will be released next summer. The Z4M's S54 doesn't meet EU emissions standards for the 2009 MY so they had to stop making it.
